Austin King Cake Expresso Martini
Two cocktails
4 oz Austin 101 or Austin 85
2 oz Amaretto liqueur, we like Disaronno
2 oz strong expresso coffee
1 oz cinnamon, vanilla simple syrup
2 oz whipping cream
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled (at least 15 seconds). Strain into coup glass with rim coated with sugar.
Cinnamon Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup
One whole vanilla bean split and seeds scraped out
3 or 4 cinnamon sticks
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and bring to a slight boil. Boil for about five minutes then remove from heat and cover. Let it stand for about 5 hours. Strain into container and store in fridge for up to two weeks.
